Automated sample-saw

This sample saw is placed directly on the cooling-table after the run-out roller table. If a sample is requested (by the operator or automatically), the billet is extended by the length of the sample. The resulting longer extrusion profile is placed in the same position as the upstream and downstream extrusions. Only the excess length (= later sample) protrudes beyond the first belt of the cooling-table.

The automated saw moves automatically to the table, clamps the profile, cuts it off and moves back to the parking-position > see video
