Linking together baff-shear – tool dismantling-press – universal tool-gripper round
Equipment for the production of aluminum profiles
As a middle-sized supplier for aluminium extrusion factories we understand ourselves as problem solver for extraordinary requirements and equipment far from off-the-shelf solutions. Our many years of experience in designing and constructing special machines has enabled us to accrue a diverse selection of new systems and machines for the extrusion industry.

Variety of individual solutions
Thanks to our flexible approach we find the perfect and unique realization for every project. With our individual and well-thought out solutions for almost every step in the production process we ensure highest precision and efficiency. These principles are guiding and crucial factors for us.
Realised Projects
Baff Shear with a shear force of 800kN or other: Automatic adjustable table height, fast strokes - forwards and backwards, safe and simple operation.
A specially manufactured machine according to customer requirements: Shear force 1.000kN, Tool Ø 175 – 450mm, Die Height 30 – 300mm
A Double Puller with additional flying saw (at the same time with an additional Puller). In connection with the double puller it is possible to substantially reduce the waste rate and increase at the same time the productivity.
Driven run out roller table – lifting roller sector with side guide rollers for a 25 MN press in Finland. Further lifting roller tables have been supplied by REISCH for Hydro-Bellenberg (22 MN) or Interfer Aluminium (22 MN) – each in addition to a REISCH Double Puller with Flying Saw.

... can also be used instead of the freely positional Hot Saw. It is possible to fully automatically cut sample profile with these 2 saw blades during normal production operation.
This quite fast working hot-shear allows a very late shearing (more time for heat up). Of course also this – preferred vertical – design is equipped with divided shearing- and clamping shells.
This dismantling press has a press force of 1,200 kN and is designed for die holders with a diameter of up to 700 mm and a height up to 350 mm. (Tools of a 55 MN extrusion line.)
Combination of the Baff Shear and/or the universal Dismantling Press combined with the Tool Gripper (Hammerer Aluminium 2011). For example: Tools (Dies, Tool Rings, Tool Sets) up to Ø 475mm or others.
The three axle crane can be controlled by using the REISCH Tool Gripper control system. Diameters for example of up to 600mm and tool heights of up to 350mm are possible and more.
Highly modern intensive cooling: Atomised Water-Spray-Cooling for Gutmann AG (Weißenburg, Germany) in combination with the REISCH Double Puller and Flying Saw. REISCH also supplied for this modern intensive cooling system, an extension for the complete water treatment and ventilation.
With comparable conditions (distance between press/quench and cooling table), we achieve the highest extrusion-speeds for a flying saw-cut compared to any competitor.
Chain conveyor and Log Feed to the log storage.

The development history of this billet loader further underlines the high flexibility of our company: Through the tight confirmed deadline, it was possible that REISCH could win the contract and the highly demanding project was indeed completed within the deadline.
This so far largest But-Shear is a further development of our currently sold 24 (by 2019) separating devices.
The newly designed log-shear with a cutting force of 170 tons divides 8 meter long aluminium logs playfully into the desired billets.
Shear force 1500 kN und others, extremely solid machine body; robust dimensioned guides, solid pin stop, pin return slide, integrated feed and pin extraction transport.
The shown aluminium log storage has a capacity of 100, 8” logs with a length of 7 meters. In addition cut logs with a rest length of up to 1.2 meters can be automatically returned and stored.
The log ramp and handling feed were fitted in front of the hall in order to completely remove the stacking operation from the production hall.
HYDRO Aluminium Hungary – a renowned supplier for premium automobile manufacturers worldwide, has once more chosen us as their partner. We were commissioned to produce a highly modern Single Puller with Saw for a 60 MN extrusion press.
... with Adoption Table, for large dies.
... for PURSO OY Extrusions, Finland
We supplied various system components for an existing 22 MN extrusion line in Denmark.

The REISCH developed and designed double puller: impressive through its simplicity and reliability. Solid, elastic guide rollers with long wheelbase, running on flat, twist and bending free carriageway. The distance between the supports is roughly six meters. The projecting puller head with lamella allows for feeding in the saw or shear.
This tool-gripper with a net-weight of around 460kg was specially developed for the tools of a 55MN extrusion press (Thöni Industriebetriebe in Tirol). These tool-sets have a diameter of up to 700mm and a height/length of up to 350mm.
Our new generation of grippers (since 2024) no longer require compressed air and are therefore pleasantly quiet. We have also significantly increased all speeds/movements - making the gripper much more efficient for the operators.
This around 6m long combination profile-cooling is the ideal access in case high cooling-ratios are requested. This quench can be operated either with high air-speeds (adjustable up to 40 m/sec) or with compressed air (up to 10 bar and up to 120m³/h)
This Tool Dismantling Press has been specially designed and manufactured for various tool ring diameters (various sized extrusion presses). They are located mostly in a central die shop and have many years of service.
